Australia is a great tourist spot and at the same time acts as a great place to study. Every year more than 6000 people migrate to Australia and most take up a job or start their own business by getting temporary visas.

Tests to Clear
A student opting for higher education in Australia has to clear the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) conducted by British Council with a score of 6 or more and a score of 5 - 6 for secondary education and other vocational and training studies. Apart from this most universities accept a TOFEL score of 213 and above or a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (Grades A or B).

Part time jobs
Foreign students can apply for work rights once college is in session. Generally a student in Australia is allowed to work 24 hours per week during term sessions and 48 hours per week during vacations.
Cost of Study in Australia
Cost of study in Australia may vary from AUD 8000 to AUD 30,000 depending on the type of course opted for, duration of study and university selected. Health care in Australia is not free and on the other hand is quite expensive. Students are required to pay for their health insurance which may amount to appox $300.
